And we're back! Yes, we all have other awesome and cool things going on (Necromunda, RPG, Titanicus etc) but I'm determined as hell to finish this goddamn league by hook or by crook! As we have exciting plans for Season III.
Keith and I had a stonker of a game on Monday night. Our teams played aboard The Krakens vessel, trying to get the game done before the sea-beast below was awoken. The Krakens kicked to The Brewers and the dwarves began their long trudge downfield. Fortunately The Dark Elves were able to keep elf-dwarf from pulling off his signiture turn-8/16 dash for the TD zone. The Krakens had too many players behind the ball and elf-dwarf was kept from dodging through. 0-0 going in to the second half, Brewers to kick.
The second half saw The Dark elves form an aggressive formation on the LoS, hoping to spread the dwarves out in turn. Block and guard on my side managed to keep Keith's players from getting to the ball for as long as possible before I was force to move the ball up-field quickly on turn 11. The Krakens managed to score but gave The Brewers 2 turns to reply. Keith once again found himself having to make a turn 16 grasp at a TD but it wasn't to be. Neither Nuffle or the pirate ship's slippery surface were having any of it. 1-0 to The Krakens.
