Started work on a sump sea tarrain set for Necromunda, sort of Laketown/goblintown style with walkways and platforms: This is on a 3'x3' board so far, need more bits to make it viable for 4'x4'. The octagonal platforms are 8"x8", the walkways are 4"x8" and the narrow walkway is 2"x8". The idea is that the thin walkway is risky, the large walkway you can safely walk two 25mm bases side by side down the middle. All bits are raised by 5mm or so to give the illusion of being above the table level and this will probably be used on a green mat to represent the sump sea itself. The tin at the top will be an open sludge pit, as per the badzone tiles rules. I've got some bits arriving from the ebay, a sprue of munitorum containers that I'm going to cut in half to use as "floating" platforms, a sector mechanicus chimney stack and plasma pipes for more LOS blocking. I'm planning on building a sort of barge that could be docked, just to break up the monotony of platforms and walkways. Painting wise the plan is to spray the whole thing brown and drybrush silver and wash dark brown. Looking for suggestions and ideas!

Excellent work here fella. I’d consider some more platforms along the bottom and perhaps another raised section in the left. That way either side is a viable deployment zone. It would give players an interesting option. Do I deploy in the high ground but also give my opponent some high ground? Or shall I deploy in the flat and try and get to the high ground before my opponent.
Also I can see that new Mechanicus lander looking good chugging around on here

Cheers chaps, I made 3 more platforms last night and 3 large and 3 thin walkways and started on a scrap barge thing. Will build a tower this weekend.

also a mate of mine used different sized googly eyes as bubbles in his sludge pits, looked really effective. You can pick them up dead cheap on ebay
