Figured this out today, how to host images from Instagram without the Instagram chaff:

Find your Instagram post and copy the url (sans spaces):

https: / / www.instagram.com / p / BxvKGpiD4cm / ?hl=en

and delete the bit in bold

and replace it with media/?size=t

you can replace the "t" with either "m" or "l"

and stick your image tags either side:

[ I m g] https: / / www.instagram.com / p / BxurzTMDElI / media / ?size=l [/ I m g]
