Got myself a 4th bloodthirster and some wings for the half a one I already had, so next time I play I'll be running this:
Allegiance: Khorne
Mortal Realm: Ghyran
Leaders
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (260)
- General
- Trait: Slaughterborn
- Artefact: Ghyrstrike
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
- Artefact: Wand of Restoration
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Bloodsecrator (140)
Battleline
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
10 x Chaos Warriors (180)
- Greatblade
Battalions
Council of Blood (150)
Total: 1990 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 111
Council of blood and first turns command point means all four bloodthirsters are running and charging, unwounded they have a threat range of 10" move + d6+1 run + 2d6+1 charge, with re-rolls to charge with battalion command point and the Bloodthirster of insensate rages command ability. Bloodsecrator moves up to get the bloodthirtsrers in his aura hopefully turn two, Flesh Hounds and Chaos Warriors cause they're the only other chaos warrior stuff I have on round bases. Wand of restoration is used to heal a wound on any bloodthirster that is one over the wound threshold thingy. Not sure how it will actually fare on the table, but four bloodthirsters sounds ace in my head.

I'd quite like to play against that before the GT!

New Battletome has scuppered my old first turn charge list, here's an updated one:
Allegiance: Khorne
- Slaughterhost: The Bloodlords (Re-roll wound rolls of 1 for attacks from friendly Bloodlord Daemon units that target a hero or monster)
Leaders
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (280)
- General
- Trait: Slaughterer's Thirst (add 4" to move and re-roll charge rolls for the general) - Artefact: Halo of Blood (bearer always fights first in combat phase) Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
- Artefact: Mark of the slayer (Khorne units wholly within 12" of the bearer can re-roll hit rolls of 1 for attacks with melee weapons) Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Bloodsecrator (140)
Battleline
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
10 x Chaos Warriors (180)
- Greatblade
Battalions
Tyrants of Blood (140) (Bloodthirsters attack in the combat phase one after the other, before other combatants are chosen)
Total: 2000 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 111
Plan is pretty simple, weather a first turn of shooting, hopefully charge in the second turn and the four bloodthirsters get to attack first in each combat phase thanks to the Halo of Blood artefact and Tyrants of Blood Battalion, with re-rolls of 1's from the Mark of the Slayer. No fancy command ability triggers this time round, and now the Bloodsecrator doesn't have to plant his banner in the ground and not move he is a lot more useful, rather than a nice to have.

Only 4 thirsters huh? Haha
Sounds vile. That battalion is disgustingly good, provided like you said, you can weather a turn of shooting. Should be ok. If you get super unlucky you'll probably only lose 1 if they really focus fire. Hitting with them all before the enemy is lovely.

Feed them units while scoring objectives. Plus Dave would need to actually play in order to win!

Made some tweaks to the list based on last nights performance:
Allegiance: Khorne
- Slaughterhost: The Bloodlords
Leaders
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (280)
- General
- Trait: Slaughterer's Thirst
- Artefact: Halo of Blood
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
- Artefact: Mark of the slayer
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster (320)
Bloodsecrator (140)
Slaughterpriest (100)
- Blood Blessing: Bronzed Flesh
Battleline
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Flesh Hounds (100)
5 x Chaos Warriors (90)
- Greatblade
Battalions
Tyrants of Blood (140)
Endless Spells
Hexgorger Skulls (40)
Terrain Skull Altar (0)
Total: 1950 / 2000
Extra Command Points: 2
Allies: 0 / 400
Wounds: 97
Binned off a unit of Flesh Hounds and 5 of the 10 Chaos Warriors to fit in a Slaughterpriest and the Hexgorger Skull Judgement thingy. Will also stick in the Blood Skull Altar of Khorne Skulls of Blood terrain piece. Leaves me at 1950 for the extra command point (as that appears the thing to do) and the triumph thingy/deny the triumph thingy.
