So its been 8 years since a small group of other and I initiated FGC and what a ride it has been going from a biweekly club with like 4 members to what it is now. It is with that past statement that I have to write this.
We are as a group decision we are going to close FGC.
Well......
I have decided that I am going to give it one last go.... It's hobby and its meant to be an enjoyable escape from life and its pressures, whether that be children, work or bills.
*This is not about the money*
I am over the next month going to review the turn out.
If over the next month the average attendance drops below what it would take to actually run club then I am going to make the hard decision to close it.
Or potentially going to fortnightly again.
I am going to arrange with Tom to take over all other club maintenance as his life is going to restrict him from doing this and as committee chairman it is only fair that I take on these responsibilities.
Tom will now only be responsible for maintaining this forum and any groups. Anything else at this stage will fall to me.
Hopefully it won't come to this, but should closure happen then we will discuss what will happen with scenery and terrain and any other club assets
I am then going to review every 2 weeks for the next 3 months and again if this drops I will close FGC's venue and potentially look to start attending another club myself.
I want this to work and if there is a way that I could get you to attend more or if there is an event you want us to run please just let me know how I can help this.
Like I said I want this to work but I am willing to put the baby down if I need to.
